Full & Partial Dentures

Partials and Dentures
Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow patients to chew and speak more easily while improving their appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patient’s teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only some teeth are missing. In either case, dentures and partials can help you look and feel your best.

Dentures
If you are missing all of your natural teeth, full dentures will replace the missing teeth and restore your smile. When missing teeth, your facial muscles are not supported and will begin to sag, making you look much older. Dentures will provide support for your facial muscles as well as make it easier to eat, speak, and smile. When wearing full dentures, you still must take good care of your mouth. Before inserting your dentures each morning, brush your gums, tongue, and palate with a soft-bristled brush to stimulate circulation in your tissues and help remove plaque. If you are missing some, but not all, of your teeth a partial denture can be used to replace the natural missing teeth. Removable partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases, which are connected by a metal framework.
